March 1, 2025: Embracing Childlike Faith
Faith is often seen as a journey of growth, but Jesus reminds us that it is also about simplicity. In Matthew 18:3, He says, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." What does it mean to have childlike faith? One evening, a father and his young daughter walked along the beach. The waves crashed, and the wind howled, but the little girl held her father’s hand without fear. As they reached a rocky area, the father said, “Hold on to me tightly.” Instead, the girl smiled and said, “No, Daddy, you hold on to me. If I hold on, I might let go. But if you hold me, I know you never will.” This is the essence of childlike faith—trusting that God will never let go, even when life’s waves crash around us. Children trust their parents completely. They do not worry about their needs. In the same way, God invites us to trust Him fully.
