March 1, 2025: Embracing Childlike Faith

Image
Faith is often seen as a journey of growth, but Jesus reminds us that it is also about simplicity. In Matthew 18:3, He says, "Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven." What does it mean to have childlike faith? One evening, a father and his young daughter walked along the beach. The waves crashed, and the wind howled, but the little girl held her father’s hand without fear. As they reached a rocky area, the father said, “Hold on to me tightly.” Instead, the girl smiled and said, “No, Daddy, you hold on to me. If I hold on, I might let go. But if you hold me, I know you never will.” This is the essence of childlike faith—trusting that God will never let go, even when life’s waves crash around us. Children trust their parents completely. They do not worry about their needs. In the same way, God invites us to trust Him fully. Proverbs 3:5 urges us to "trust in the Lord with all your heart and l...

February 28, 2025: Remain Faithful and Committed in Relationships

Image
In a world where relationships face many challenges, remaining faithful and committed  requires conscious effort, love, and trust. Whether in marriage, friendship, or community, these values build lasting and meaningful relationships. Faithfulness means staying true to promises, being loyal, and supporting loved ones through all circumstances. Commitment is the unwavering dedication to nurture and protect a relationship, even in tough times. True commitment is a choice to love, respect, and support each other consistently. Sarah and James, married for over 40 years, faced financial struggles, health challenges, and personal losses. Yet, they continuously chose each other. When James fell seriously ill, Sarah sacrificed sleep and comfort to care for him. James, in turn, never took her love for granted, always expressing gratitude. Their faithfulness became an inspiration, proving that commitment is about choosing love, patience, and sacrifice daily. Why Faithfulness Matters ...

February 26, 2025: Practise Inclusivity, not Exclusivity!

The disciples were troubled. They saw someone casting out demons in Yesu’s name, but he was not part of their group. Their instinct was to stop him. But Yesu replied: "Do not stop him. For no one who does a mighty work in my name will be able soon afterward to speak evil of me. For the one who is not against us is for us." (Mark 9:39-40) Often, we fall into the trap of exclusivity, drawing boundaries where Christ has called us to build bridges. We assume that only those within our circles can truly work for God. But Yesu reminds us that His kingdom is greater than our human divisions. A Modern Encounter A missionary priest saw some volunteers feeding the poor and caring for the sick. Curious, he asked, "Are you part of a Christian service organization?" A young woman replied, "We do not belong to a specific church, but we believe in Yesu and His love." The priest recalled Yesu’s words. These people, though not part of his church, were living ou...

February 25, 2025: Do you think that you possess the True Greatness?

Image
In a world that prizes achievement and recognition, Jesus' words in Mark 9:35 challenge our values: "If anyone would be first, he must be last of all and servant of all." True greatness is not about power but about self-giving love. A Lesson in True Greatness A well-known story illustrates this principle. During a banquet, a wealthy businessman noticed a quiet janitor staying late to ensure everything was clean. When asked why he worked so hard, the janitor simply replied, "I serve because it brings me joy." Inspired, the businessman began serving at a local shelter and found unexpected fulfillment. The Call to Servanthood Jesus modeled this lifestyle, washing His disciples’ feet (John 13:12-17) and ultimately sacrificing His life for others. He calls us to do the same—in our families, workplaces and communities: At Home: A parent’s sacrifices for their child embody servant leadership. At Work: True leaders empower others rather than ...

Febuary 24, 2025: All Things Are Possible for One Who Believes

When Thomas Edison was working on his first light bulb, he failed hundreds of times before finally succeeding. Many would have given up, but Edison famously said, "I have not failed. I’ve just found 10,000 ways that won’t work." His belief in the possibility of success led to one of the greatest inventions in history. Faith and belief have always been powerful forces that drive human beings to achieve the impossible. In Mark 9:23 , Jesus said, “All things are possible for one who believes.” This statement is not just a religious or philosophical idea but a profound truth that has been demonstrated throughout history. The Power of Belief Belief is more than just wishful thinking; it is a conviction that transforms obstacles into opportunities. When we truly believe in something, we act with determination, perseverance, and confidence. This unwavering faith enables us to overcome challenges that seem insurmountable. Examples from Life Historical Achievements...
