April 19-20, 2025: Called to Resurrect in Our Lives
“He is not here; He has risen!” (Luke 24:6)
These powerful words declared at the empty tomb on that first Easter morning
did more than proclaim an event — they ignited a movement, awakened hearts, and
birthed hope into a broken world.
But Resurrection is not just a past miracle; it is a present
calling. It is not only about what happened to Jesus — it’s also
about what is meant to happen in us.
Resurrection
is a Daily Invitation
Every day, we are invited to rise — from our fears, our failures,
our fatigue.
Resurrection means choosing life where there has been death:
·
Forgiveness where there has been resentment.
·
Courage where there has been despair.
·
Purpose where there has been confusion.
·
Faith where there has been doubt.
Christ’s resurrection is not only a celebration, it’s a
commission. We are called to live risen lives — lives that reflect His power to redeem,
restore and renew.
From
the Tomb to the Table
The disciples were hiding, broken and afraid. But when Jesus
appeared, their mourning turned to mission. Likewise, we may have areas in our
hearts that feel like tombs — sealed by regret, loss, or shame. But the stone
can roll away.
Resurrection invites us:
·
To step out of what has held us back.
·
To believe that “it is never too late.”
·
To live with hope that “death doesn’t have the last word.”
Real-Life
Resurrections
·
A man addicted for years finds freedom through grace — he’s
resurrected.
·
A broken marriage is healed through patience and prayer — it’s
resurrected.
·
A dream long buried is revived with courage — that too, is
resurrection.
We often wait for big miracles, but God is working quiet
resurrections in us — every time we choose love over hate, peace over chaos,
and light over darkness.
So
How Can I Respond?
Ask yourself today:
·
What part of me is still lying in the tomb?
·
Where do I need to rise again?
Then pray:
“Lord, just as You rose from the grave, raise me from whatever
keeps me buried — and help me to live the fullness of the life You died to give
me.”
Called
to Be Witnesses
The world needs witnesses of the Resurrection — not only those who
speak of it, but those who live it. Let your story, your scars, and your
struggles speak of the risen Christ who still rolls stones away. Because we are
not just called to admire the Resurrection. We are called to embody it.
So rise. Forgive. Hope
again. Start again. Love deeply. Live boldly. Because He is risen — and so are
you.
